Katmandu Battle of Bands Semi Final 2006 : What a night! I went to take pictures of Willpowerless and ended up doing much more. All bands welcomed my effort. Hopefully they will like my pictures. From a photographer’s perspective, it was not easy. Equipments used are: Canon 5D, EF 50 f/1.4, EF 24-105 f/4 IS, EF 70-200 f/4. The pictures mostly were taken with EF 24-105 f/4 IS and EF 70-200 f/4. I wanted to use 50mm, but it was way too short. The lighting was horrible, I can barely achieve 1/50-1/100 shutter speed with ISO 3200 and f/4. I did take 580EX with me, but decided not to use it. The reason was that the ceiling is too high and I believe the ceiling bounce method might not work well. The only way was to point the flash right at the bands, but I wasn’t sure how they would feel about it. But, next time I got the chance, I am definitely using 580EX. I don’t remember the names of all the bands. If you do, please inform me by adding a comment to the specific pictures. Thanks in advance.
